One in 10 Australians are being bombarded with an avalanche of nuisance calls from potential scammers, a new survey has found.
just had a call from this number, male voice, when i told him he had the wrong number, he swore at me using the 'f' word. i was quiet shaken.
Lots of drops / silent calls from this is last few days. Sometimes can hear call centre type noise in the background. Have now blocked the number
Had call from "Stavros", who was a "Freelancer" offering an "Investment Opportunity".
I asked the caller whether he was regulated and by whom to offer investment advice via cold-calling and he hung-up on me...such a shame, as former Investment Banker I am sure we could have had a very interesting conversation!
Th fact they had my name was frustrating....I do wish the OFT would shut these b@st@rds down.
Rung twice talked about investment tried to say I wasn't interested - women on phone told me to off. I was firm and polite. She was very rude. Caller was female with Eastern European accent
A very loud and cheery sounding lady with a South East Asian accent claiming to be Sarah from London, also mentioned that I hung up last time which is probably true if the call was as loud and pointless as this one. If it's a scam it's an incomprehensible one, probably just ignorant confused and . Certainly possessed of no redeeming features.
Had a call from this number today and after answering the line was silent and they just hung up. When I redialled the number it wasn't recognised.

Had a guy that could speak poor English call me, he told me that he was a lancer, when I explained that if I had boils I would get them seen to by doctor and not some cold caller he got offensive and hung up
Guy with an indian accent asking me how my day was going. Then asked me to sit in front of a computer to show me how "crazy" the market is today.
When i asked who he worked for he claimed to be a free-lancer. I just hanged up, seems like a time (and money) waster,
Keep getting calls from this number, they just say hello hello hello it's driving me crazy!
Called by man with eastern European accent. Asked for someone with Indian name. Then proceeded to tell me I'd been selected for some investment trial- even though I wasn't the person he was looking for!
Said he was from investing.com. Told him to get lost and put phone down. How do they think people are.
