U.S. officials proposed a record $300 million fine Wednesday over an alleged robocall scam they say involved more than five billion unsolicited calls to targeted consumers over three months.
Had a feeling it was Talk Talk. I had a tonne of missed calls from this number and a Manchester (0161) number and, last week, decided to answer one. Spoke to one of their sales monkeys who advised I was a 'valued customer' blah blah blah. I have broadband with the useless shower and they wanted to persuade me to have 'Phone calls too, i.e. increase my spend with them. I advised I couldn't as already have calls with B.T. for the next 12 months. They advised they'd call back in 12 months to see if I fancied switching then. I've just received another missed call from the 0207 number - 7 days obviously equates to 12 months in Talk Talk's mental world....
