These spam calls with international numbers, mostly from African and Southeast Asian countries, along with fake messages from unknown users, have flooded WhatsApp and Indians have nowhere to go but Twitter to share their ordeal.

Cold call from this number man said he worked for MCAS. He asked about endowment policy taken out a while ago. I asked him what business it was of his and he was then very rude, said it was his job to contact people and help with financial problems. I told him I didn't have any problems and that I don't want to discuss anything with him. He was still very rude and said he'd take me off his list; yeah like that's going to happen. Have also had calls over the last 2 days from their Exeter office 0132353101 asking to speak to my husband.
