it was TSB's number to protect me from the fraud
Did get 3 messages about my card to be used to pay for some taxi company. Called TSB and they confirmed it was their number and they send it to me to stop the fraud
3 messages one after the other claiming to be TSB claiming that my card had been used at Nandos for £69 but quoting wrong card no. Said I should reply yes or |No. No way. All deleted
I have found out from talking to TSB that this number is a genuine telephone number from the TSB fraud team.
I was made aware by the lady I spoke too that she could see on my account that the fraud team had indeed sent me messages about transactions.
If your unsure, call the bank and get further info.
SCAM. I have got a text that couldn't answer saying it was from TSB and they will send me more texts from this number regarding a transaction, they said that they had seen my card ending **** (which was indeed my card number) was used somewhere unusual and they wanted to check, I had to answer yes or not, which of course I did not. Checked my transactions and there was nothing unusual. They called me also from 0345 3561034 claiming the same thing. They had my correct name.
Had a text saying it was from TAB with the last 4 digits of my bank card asking me to confirm whether or not I had made a purchase from Miss-guided. Checked recent transactions with my bank and there wasn't anything.
