Mobile users unlikely to get relief from pesky calls, text messages soon, say telco executives
Mobile phone users are unlikely to get a respite from the menace of pesky commercial calls and text messages anytime soon as the majority of these come from unregistered telemarketers (UTMs) using personal mobile numbers that are almost impossible to monitor or bar, say senior telco executives.

Tell them this information and TELL them to remove your number from their database, state that after 30 days if more calls come in you will seek legal advice and will contact Ofcom and Ofgem to report the issue after this date. Keep a note of the date and time they called. If they call back at a later date, tell them that they called on that date and you TOLD them to remove your number. Tell them again, don't ask, be firm but polite in a non-aggressive calm voice.
General Rule:
You need to find out the core company making the calls, i.e. the telemarketing company. Once you have that information you have a direct link between your number and a company that can be prosecuted if they continue making calls when you have asked them to stop.
If your are beside your computer ask them for there company reg number and look it up on companies house website. Once you get the REAL company name, ask them for this name and then if they wont tell you, tell them the name of the company and then tell them that you have the address of the company and could you confirm the postcode. Then TELL them again to remove your number. Be polite, I've had quite a few companies never phone me back!
