Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.

This number is Carphone Warehouse, who, when told I didn't want a new phone, or my costs reduced just kept going on and on. Asked if he understood what the word 'no' meant, just stuck to his 'script' and prattled on. Told him to remove my number from his database and to stop calling - just started him off again and I hung up on him. Cold calling is illegal since April 2015.
